Total Technology has a full-time position available, in Picatinny Arsenal, for a Lead Engineer with 6-8 years of experience. This person will provide support to government artillery programs and their engineering activities, including systems and test engineering for the Extended Range Cannon Artillery (ERCA) program.
Support the ERCA program by testing howitzers, providing test data reporting, maintaining a firing matrix for all relevant testing information
Conduct engineering investigations, endurance and qualification testing on multiple military and aerospace products, including but not limited to cannon artillery, helicopter rescue hoist systems, aircraft cargo winches, hydromechanical fuel controls and subcomponents, mechanical actuation products, and electromechanical interface devices
Solicit and define instrumentation requirements
Compile final test reports using data from Test Plan Requests, daily onsite reports, and input from key engineering personnel
Provide expert test support as an onsite representative on various complex test projects in the area of mortar and artillery ammunition at government test sites as required, including test setup, test execution and data recording
Independently lead engineering services that may include but are not limited to the following: engineering study and analyses; technology planning; integrated logistics support; concept development; systems architecture development; requirements development; system development and integration; test and evaluation; systems operation; systems design; modeling and simulation; construction; configuration management; systems acquisition and life cycle management in compliance with current Industry and Government practices
Bachelor’s degree and 6-8 years of progressive experience working with complex systems and documentation required
Experience as an engineer lead or manager in one or more of the following disciplines: Chemical, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or sub-disciplines related to them
Secret security clearance required
Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and relationship skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work well within a team
Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
