Total Technology has a full-time position available, in Picatinny Arsenal, for an Engineering Consultant with 4+ years of experience. This person will provide support to government artillery programs and their engineering activities, including the entire spectrum of design and system engineering functions from concept to production and fielding.
Perform structural and dynamic analyses; prototype and/or demonstrator manufacturing support and testing; and final production item qualification testing, manufacturing, and fielding support
Produce reports for design, analysis and testing
Draft test plans and analyzing alternatives papers
Participate in Integrated Product Team meetings
Perform advanced to expert troubleshooting and repair techniques on manufacturing equipment, electrical, electronic or mechanical systems
Analyze, troubleshoot, build up, maintain, and repair complex equipment
Perform structural integrity analysis utilizing state-of-the-art software simulation and classical hand calculations
Bachelor’s degree required
Four years of experience troubleshooting in the specific discipline
Secret security clearance required
Proficiency with basic mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic, electrical and software concepts related to the specific requirement
Knowledgeable in test engineering planning, scheduling and management of product, and component test activities
Knowledgeable with actuation and drive systems; flight control systems; and large-, medium-, and small-caliber weapon mount systems.
Expert knowledge of conceptual modeling of components, subassemblies and complete system integration, as well as the detail design and drafting of drawings to complete a TDP
Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and relationship skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work well within a team
Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
