Total Technology has a full-time position available, in Picatinny Arsenal, for an Electromechanical Engineering Technician with 4+ years of experience. This person will support government programs by providing engineering technician activities to include kitting of electronics and fabrication of component circuit assemblies (CCAs), soldering, automated pick & place/reflow operations, assembly inspection, and maintenance of inventory. Mechanical technician activities include the programming and operation of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery and experience with Mastercam software. Electronics technician activities are also required to oversee operations, review incoming requirements, and to address technical issues that arise during the fabrication, assembly, and delivery of military electronic and mechanical hardware in addition to support activities, including the entire spectrum of design and system engineering functions from concept to production and fielding.
Provide dedicated Engineering Technician Support for the fabrication, assembly, inspection, and delivery of military electronics and systems
Perform structural and dynamic analyses; prototype and/or demonstrator manufacturing support and testing; and final production item qualification testing, manufacturing, and fielding support
Produce reports for design, analysis and testing
Draft test plans and analyzing alternative designs
Participate in Integrated Product Team meetings
Perform advanced to expert troubleshooting and repair techniques on manufacturing equipment, electrical, electronic or mechanical systems
Perform structural integrity analysis utilizing state-of-the-art software simulation and classical hand calculations
Bachelor’s degree required
Secret security clearance required
Four years of experience troubleshooting in the specific discipline
Knowledgeable with automated assembly operations using modern pick & places process
Expert knowledge of purchase order preparation to support build and assembly operations
Proficiency with signal processing circuits, firmware and software, electronic circuit hardware and electrical and software concepts related to the specific requirement
Knowledge of test engineering planning, scheduling and management of product, and component test activities
Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and relationship skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work well within a team
Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
